A day in the life of an AP during post production:
The good thing about my job is I won’t get bored. My brain is constantly on drive-mode, thinking of nooks and crannies which can be squeezed through to get to the dateline. I would safely say post production is slightly less hectic if you’re doing a single project. Apparently an Assistant Producer can be handling 2 or 3 projects at a time! So perhaps that is a different story altogether. *gulps*
A little insight into what I did today:
Morning I was slightly free. Went over to the editor’s place around 2, carrying lunch for the bosses at work and waited for Yane to complete the subtitles. After he finished with that, we ran through the episode by watching on the new broadcast monitor they recently bought to check for glitches before the transfer. Thankfully there were none and if only they had bought that sooner. We could have saved thousands of lectures from big boss at Suria! So then waited for render to finish and got a preview of Satu Jam first episode transmitting tomorrow. Pretty cool show I would say with all the quirks of a daily life out there.
Then headed to Baha Video for transfer. Man helped with the transfer and cik Baha gave a new magic trick demonstration which was so cool! Mr Baha is really quite an accomplished magician. Awesome! So then rushed down to TV12 to transfer the precious tape. THEN headed back to editor’s place to return the harddisk. Oh lots of moving around! Oh well, still its better than feeling lethargic.
Last two episodes and its OVER! Hahaha! I shall see what I can do next… come to think of it, I don’t mind doing something else other than this. Afterall, money seems more vital these days in this country. I realized that, sometimes you have to do something that you won’t like or enjoy but it may be good for you in the long run. So maybe I’ll be a vet or something.
